Later on this year Andrew and I are going to take some time out of real life in order to do a bit of travelling. It’s something that we’ve been talking and thinking about for quite some time, but up to this point there hasn’t really been an opportune time to go. This year everything seems to have fallen into place and so we’ve started to plan.
So far, the itinerary looks like this:
Land in Singapore then travel overland to Malaysia (probably to Melaka and Kuala Lumpur) before returning to Singapore for the flight to New Zealand.
Land in Aukland on New Zealand’s North island and spend a couple of months in a camper van exploring both islands before heading to Queenstown for Christmas and New Year. We have another month to explore more of the South island before heading to Christchurch and on to Sydney.
Spend a week in Sydney before flying to Hong Kong for 4 nights on the way home.
To keep track of all of my posts about the trip (before, during and after) you can use the NZ2012 page on the blog. Make sure that you get all of the latest updates by subscribing to the blog using the box in the right hand menu bar.
At the moment I have a list of places to see and thing that I’d like to do (OK, yes, it’s a really big spreadsheet!) but if you have any great ideas please use the comments box below to let me know what they are. Thanks!
