Stainforth

On Sunday we parked in Stainforth, the village next to Settle and walked a circular route.

The weather was really quite wet to begin with so there aren’t many photos from the start of the day.  It eventually brightened up though – if we’d just stayed in bed a bit longer we would have been fine! By the time we reached Catrigg Force things were much drier, apart from Mr M’s feet which ended up in a huge puddle when taking this photo.

The stepping stones back into Stainforth were fun!

After that we drove up to the Ribblehead Viaduct which is an incredible feat of engineering.

We nearly got blown away as the wind was so strong and had to retreat to a nearby tea van for a fortifying cup of tea and a fried egg bap!
