Driving into Las Vegas was incredibly exciting and we soon managed to find our way to the Vdara hotel where we were staying. The Vdara is a bit of a novelty in Vegas, it doesn’t have a casino or any attractions and it is completely non-smoking. We had chosen the hotel because we fancied a bit of classy glamour which we could come back to after exploring the bright lights of Vegas.
The Vdara doesn’t disappoint. From the first glimpse it looks completely fabulous – a towering curved glass structure with a mad sculpture made out of canoes in front of it. The hotel lobby is crisp, clean and luxurious with a beautiful restaurant in the corner and lots of modern, stylish furniture, lighting and pictures.
Our room is amazing. It’s huge, with two enormous picture windows looking out towards the Rio hotel and over the Bellagio pool. It has a kitchenette complete with a dining table, a living room with a huge TV, a king size bed with a separate TV facing it and a luxurious bathroom. It’s easily the most glamorous hotel room I’ve ever stayed in and this is just their basic ‘deluxe suite’!
The swimming pool is positioned on the outside of the hotel. It looks amazing and I can’t wait to spend some time out there! If are feeling really flash you can hire your own personal cabana with chaise lounges, a fridge, a fan, a TV and a media hub.
