The Ranch at Furnace Creek is an oasis in the desert. It has been a business since 1881 when it was set up as accommodation for workers in a nearby Borax mine. After mining operations in Death Valley were abandoned, the Ranch started to cater for tourists and opened for guests in 1933.
The resort has a beautiful green golf course, numerous date palm and a spring-fed swimming pool. After a refreshing swim, Mr M and I enjoyed the most enormous rib-eye steaks in the restaurant. Fantastic!
