Starry skies

After a rushed trip back to the lodge to pick up some more layers of clothing, we went back to the park at 9pm for a ‘starry skies at Yosemite’ tour that we’d booked earlier in the day. This consisted of lying on a tarpaulin on the school sports field on the valley floor and looking at the stars while a very endearing science geek explained all about constellations, asterisms and shooting stars. It was brilliant and a really different way to spend an evening.
